History of Ambulance 797

In 1988, the decision was made to expand to a three Ambulance fleet.  An order was placed for a 1988 Ford E-350/Yankee Coach ambulance.  This unit was placed in-service as Ambulance 797.  This was our first diesel powered Ambulance, as in 1988 Ford Motor Company would only provide diesel powered chassis for Ambulance builders.

The second Ambulance 797 was a 2004 Ford E-450/Horton.  It was equipped with a Federal Signal e-Q2b electronic siren and a combination of rotating, strobe and LED emergency lighting.  This unit was retired in August, 2015 and was sold to Lakes Region EMS in Franklin, NH and was given the unit designation, Ambulance 44-A-3.
